Our next visitor to the HAM SHACK is FRED K7WFP (vanity call for Walter F. Peters). As a pilot, Fred's shack does dual duty as he loves to track active flights of all kinds, and then plays ham radio on the HF, and VHF bands.
Fred has just finished two terms as President for the West Valley Ham Shack. He has also held the President's post for the West Valley Amateur Radio club.
He is very active on the FT8 mode. Currently, a new multi band antenna is being installed to broaden his HF reception at his Sun City home.

A group of hams met at the shack to sort Hundreds of DX QSL cards recently. Nearly every nation on earth was represented in the selection, spanning 75 years.

Some rare and valuable cards were in the mix!
Examples include P5 card, JY1 card signed by King Hussein of Jordon, SY1 from Mount Athos, many DX-peditions, etc. A very fun trip down memory lane.
The 'Shack' is an easy club to join, and it absolutely expands your enjoyment of your membership in other clubs. We complement one another, never a competition!
