President Gary K8BKB welcomes visitor
The West Valley Ham Shack welcomed AMBER KF0TOC during a recent visit. Amber is a college student from Bennet, Nebraska. who holds an extra class license.
Her visit during a brief stay in Scottsdale was driven by a desire to take a free class to increase her proficiency in the radio hobby.
We were happy to oblige with a specially arranged class for her visit on the design of antennas for her new HF station.
Noteworthy was her interest in becoming a CW operator. President Gary gifted her a CW trainer to further that goal.

WA9SUG
Today we feature Al Pomerance WA9SUG who has a life long passion for ham radio. Al is a snow bird who resides in Sun City West each winter, and Skokie, Illinois each summer.
Al collects Collins equipment which grace the shack in Skokie, his second shack in Arizona is a comfortable shack fully equipped in his dedicated shack space (shown)
He favors the K4KIO HE beam antennas, and will soon have one in each of his locations.
SUMMER SCHEDULE 9 AM - 1 PM Tues-Sat.
The 'Shack' is an easy club to join, and it absolutely expands your enjoyment of your membership in other clubs. We complement one another, never a competition!
